About Us

Snacksville Yorkies of Austin, TX

Raised with love

Our AKC registered litters are raised with love in our home in Austin, TX with a big, grassy, backyard full of squirrels and birds (and occasionally other critters).

  • They are thoroughly socialized with both children and other dogs.
  • We make sure that each pup gets used to a collar early.
  • Each pup is crate trained so that they're comfortable sleeping on their own.
  • We try our best to get them potty trained but they haven't quite figured it out by 8 weeks.

What they'll bring

Each pup goes to their new forever home with the following:

  • AKC registration form with parent registration IDs.
  • First round of vaccines (and de-wormed if needed).
  • Starter supply of food.
  • A blanket smelling of mom and dad.
  • A copy of the signed contract.

What we require

You will be required to sign a contract before you can take your darling home. Our contract has specific requirements including the following:

  • A happy, healthy home with quality dog food and lots of love and time with your family.
  • Regular vet visits to maintain health and keep up to date on vaccines.
  • Preventative treatments for heartworm and parasites.
  • Spaying/Neutering is required unless you've paid for breeding rights. This must be done no earlier than 6-8 months (vet recommendation) and no later than 14 months of age.

Our Current Breeders

Chewie & Clover

Sir Chewie of Snacksville (Chewie)

Chewie was our first Parti Yorkie. He's the smartest dog I've ever owned and was doing tricks at 6 months old. He's friendly to children and other dogs and loves to go to the groomer to play with all the other dogs. He doesn't like to be left alone and always finds a place by our side. He is a little over 5 lbs with a lean body structure.

Lady Clover Fields of Snacksville (Clover)

Clover is our chill dog. She doesn't rush for anything except to help Chewie bark at the fence. She's a great mom, is fiercly protective of her family, and doesn't enjoy car rides. She's around 6 lbs with a stocky build.

We've got skunks in our area so we keep some of this on hand. See my recipe/process below. We prefer the original scent but they don't seem to have it in a spray which is more convenient.

Tips & Tricks

Carpet Cleaning

What you’ll need:

What you do:

  • Fold over a paper towel until you have at least 2 layers and it is big enough to cover the spot.
  • Lightly press with your foot (don't stomp or step too firmly) to pull up as much as you can
  • Spray the area with the carpet cleaning solution
  • Place the dampened sponge over the area and tap, tap, tap with your foot moving it around the area.
  • Fold over another paper towel and stomp stomp to pull up wetness
  • I usually repeat these steps, rinsing the sponge in between, until I feel the pee/poo stain is removed.

Salinas Skunk Funk Eliminator

What you’ll need:

What you do:

  • Use the outdoor hose (I know, it’s awful) and wash pup with Dawn. Skunk spray is oily. If it’s good for oil slick ducks it’s good for skunk funked dogs.
  • Hose off the majority if the soap.
  • If they pass a cursory sniff test their ok to take inside to your favorite washing station.
  • Use the Nature’s miracle Skunk removal solution. I cover our pups head to toe. Focus on the spots that have the most funk.
  • Let them soak for 10 minutes and remind them that they’ll never win a battle of wills against a skunk.
  • Shampoo with your preferred dog shampoo and rinse.
  • Do a sniff test all over. If you find smelly areas, follow the Dawn > skunk solution > shampoo > sniff process, focusing on the spot.
  • Use conditioner if you have it. Dawn will dry their skin.
